Great competition last month again guys thanks to all!

 

In Julys competition we are giving away an awesome piece of kit.

Remember this competition is open to all members new and old and all you need to do to enter is PM me the link to your site and make sure you have followed the rules below:

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: Midnight Friday 19th July 2013 - Competition starts Saturday 20th July.


POLL CLOSES: Midnight (or maybe 10pm if there is a clear winner) Wednesday 31st July 2013


WINNER ANNOUNCED ON:  Thursday 1st August 2013

1 Clear plastic holding case

1 4GB SD card installed with OS

1 Power Supply

As one good prize deserves another...

 

I've got a genuine copy of Win95 complete with original key certificate to give away as a runner up prize and will snail mail it to the lucky recipient  anywhere in the UK.

:P Nah.. no contest I can pretty much guarantee to be in last place again with my abomination this month

 

 

Mind you it's always interesting to see what other folk are doing whether be it purely for pleasure, the ever incomplete portfolio, ad-hangers or even paying clients. Even if you don't particularly want  this months prize or feel that your talents are no match for some of the awesome folk here take heart and have a go.

 

Just make up a random brief, do a makeover for say your local taxi firm or nearest Kebab shop  and treat the comp as one would a real job with a deadline. After all this is what you'll hopefully be doing to earn a living as a web designer so it's good practice.

6 so far Rob and it'll defo be worth the wait!

That's a good idea and a great way to build up your portfolio at the same time as getting some valuable feedback for what works and what doesn't because as I've learned you can always rely on honest feedback from this place.
