Hello Guys,

I have a very basic question.

I tried to host my website in 2 different servers - 1 Windows, 1 Linux, and I found there are minor differences in the appearance of my website pages.

I was just wondering what makes those minor difference.

Of course these differences are very minor, but I am just curious about the reason for those differences. Hope someone could answer this for me.

Thanks !

: )

I think we'd have to know what these minor differences are before commenting. Can you elaborate?

As the others have said, what are these differences you speak of?

There's a world of differences in the way Windows and Linux servers operate so narrowing down exactly what you mean would be very helpful.

If you are using an apache server setup on both of them the differences shouldn't even be present, would be helpful to know what exactly you mean minor differences though.

Linux is an open source software server, which makes it cheaper and easier to use than a Windows server. ... A Windows server generally offers more range and more support than Linux serversLinux is generally the choice for start-up companies while Microsoft is typically the choice of large existing companies.
