Howdy,

Have any of you guys used Google Tag Manager before?

Trying to set it up on a site so that it tracks clicks through to PDFs as an event. I've followed this guide but had no luck. It doesn't appear to be 'triggering'.

The site I've placed it on is here.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

Cheers.

Okay, already figured out where I might have gone slightly wrong... The track type was set as 'Pageview', so I've changed this to 'Event' now. Let's see if that makes a difference.

Ha!

I've given up for now, just added a onClick event for some of the links to PDFs. Going to have a play with Tag Manager at the weekend and see if I can crack it.

I've never met any one who's had anything other than a stinking headache from dealing with it :P

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tool that gives users a way to add code to a website without having to log in to the backend and manually add to the source code every time. This takes web development and coding skills out of the equation, and is an easy way for anyone to add and update tracking codes all in one place in a consistent fashion.
