Hey it's been a while!

I am trying to up my levels in illustrator but I am struggling with something simple like merging lines together. It is really putting me down but don't want to quit.

In the link above how can I merge those lines together so the gradient on top will look swish? :)

Hey Benn,

Take a deep breath. We got this.

So I think you need to first be clear about what it is you're trying to achieve. When you say you want to merge them together, how do you mean?

Are you trying to have one gradient run through all of the horizontal lines?

That is correct! This solution looks great, will give this a go once I get home from work! TY :)

That solution did not work, but a lady in my office just showed me what to do.

I had to select all the lines > object > path > outline stroke > apply the gradient!

Thanks for coming back with the solution - it'll help future generations.

Apologies, I didn't realise that the horizontal lines were not shapes. Glad you got it sorted. :)
